Dôvera Healthy Eyes benefit: up to €100 for children's glasses
If your child is insured with Dôvera, the insurer will reimburse up to €100 once a year for glasses. You just need to meet a few conditions and submit the application on time. Here's a brief overview.
Who is eligible for the benefit
children under 18 insured by Dôvera (application is submitted by a parent or legal guardian, who does not need to be insured with Dôvera themselves),
the child and parent, if insured with Dôvera, must not be listed as debtors with the insurer.
What the insurer reimburses
the co-payment for standard eyeglass frames and lenses prescribed by an ophthalmologist's voucher,
up to €100 per voucher, at most once per calendar year,
only the actual amount paid as shown on the optical store receipt is reimbursed. If you pay less than €100, the remaining amount does not carry over, and sums from multiple optical stores cannot be combined.
The benefit does not apply to glasses bought online or from optical stores without a Dôvera contract, nor to aids prescribed during hospitalization.
Conditions to be met
Examination by a contracted ophthalmologist. The doctor must have a contract with Dôvera for specialized outpatient ophthalmology care. You can verify this at poskytovatelia.dovera.sk – the outpatient clinic must be listed as "Specialized outpatient care – ophthalmology".
Purchase of glasses at a contracted optical store. All IMOOPTIK locations are contracted Dôvera optical stores, so you can use the voucher with us.
Completed preventive check-ups by age with a pediatrician and dentist (dental check-up required from age 2 for the previous calendar year). You can verify the check-ups in the electronic branch or the Dôvera mobile app under Electronic Health Card. If the doctor hasn't recorded the check-up yet, please attach a confirmation of completion with your application.
Application submitted within 30 days of the eye exam i.e., from the date the voucher was issued.
How to apply
Applications must be submitted electronically only – through the electronic branch mojadovera.sk or the Dôvera mobile app. In the application, provide:
the ophthalmologist and date of exam,
the optical store where you bought the glasses,
a photo or scan of the receipt or invoice from the optical store (pdf, jpg, png, etc.),
the payment date and amount, and the bank account number where Dôvera should transfer the funds.
You will also confirm with a declaration that the information matches the receipt. Funds will be transferred by bank transfer within 90 days after submitting a complete application.
Important notes
The 30-day deadline is crucial. Choose your glasses as soon as possible after the exam to ensure you can include the payment receipt.
For exams in December: the application must be submitted by December 31 at the latest; the optical receipt can be added in January but still within 30 days of the exam.
If Dôvera requests additional documents, you have 10 business days to provide them. Otherwise, the application is automatically rejected without the possibility of reinstatement.
Each receipt can be used only once and must be from the optical store listed in the application.
If you do not have a computer or smartphone, you can submit the application at any Dôvera branch using their equipment.
