Our range of prescription lenses

At IMOOPTIK, we work with lenses from Rodenstock and XiRON Optics. Every lens is ground and fitted in our own workshop, so we guarantee the result—not the courier. Below is an overview of the lens types we offer. We're happy to assist you with your choice in person.

Single vision lenses

Single vision lenses are the most common type of prescription lenses. They have a single corrective power across the entire lens and correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Though they sound simple, details matter: the material, surface treatment, and how you'll use them. At IMOOPTIK, we select lenses based on your prescription, frame, and daily activities—and grind them in-house, often ready while you wait in most stores.

Materials and thickness

The thickness and weight of a lens depend on the material's refractive index. The higher the index, the thinner and lighter the lens for the same prescription.

  • 1.50 (standard) – basic organic material, suitable for approximately ±2.0 D.

  • 1.60 (thinner) – about 25% thinner, more durable, with UV protection; recommended from ±2.0 D and for rimless or semi-rimless frames.

  • 1.67 (very thin) – for prescriptions from ±4.0 D, aesthetically pleasing even in large frames.

  • 1.74 (thinnest) – for high prescriptions from ±6.0 D, the lightest and thinnest option.

We also consider the size and shape of your frame—lower index lenses work well in small frames, while larger frames benefit from investing in thinner lenses.

Anti-reflective coatings

Anti-reflective coatings eliminate glare from both lens surfaces, allow more light into the eye, and protect against scratches. They improve vision comfort and let others see your eyes clearly without distracting reflections. We offer six coatings depending on where you wear your glasses:

  • CLEAR+ – basic anti-reflective coating with a hardening layer.

  • STAY CLEAN – anti-reflective coating with water and grease repellent layer for easier cleaning.

  • XTREME CLEAN UV – premium all-purpose coating with blue light protection, anti-static layer, and excellent repelling of water, dust, and fingerprints. The best choice for everyday wear.

  • XTREME CLEAN BLUE – premium coating with full blue light filter for screen work.

  • INVISIBLE CLEAN – premium anti-reflective coating without colored reflections; lenses are nearly invisible in the frame.

  • DRIVE CLEAN – highest clarity with minimal reflections even at night. Designed for drivers.

Lens tinting

We tint prescription lenses—either fully or with a gradual transition from a darker top to a lighter bottom—in the intensity you prefer.

  • Classic colors – brown (enhances contrast, comfortable for driving), gray (most accurate color rendering), green (balanced contrast, reduces eye strain).

  • Fashion and health shades – orange, yellow, blue, pink, purple, and more; subtle hues coordinate with your frame, stronger tints help with light sensitivity or migraines.

  • Mirror coatings – silver, gold, blue, green, or pink mirror finishes for sun prescription glasses suited for mountains and water.

  • Custom match – bring your favorite sunglasses, and we'll match the tint accordingly.

Tinting is combined with an anti-reflective coating on the back surface to prevent distracting reflections behind the glasses.

Photochromic lenses

One pair of glasses for your entire day. Transitions GEN S lenses are clear indoors and darken outdoors according to light intensity—faster than previous generations and with full UV protection. They lighten again when you return indoors. Available in gray, brown, green, and fashion colors. Ideal for anyone frequently moving between indoors and outdoors who prefers not to carry multiple glasses.

For drivers, we offer photochromic lenses that darken even behind car windshields—Transitions Xtractive, available in brown or gray.

We also provide photochromic lenses from German manufacturer Rodenstock. Their Colormatic technology features cooler tint shades. We're happy to show you all available options from both brands in our stores.

UV420 – computer lenses

blue light protection

When working with computers, phones, or under LED lighting, eyes are exposed to blue-violet light, which contributes to eye fatigue and dryness. UV420 lenses filter this light within the lens material itself—blocking 100% of UV rays and most light up to 420 nm—and unlike blue anti-reflective coatings, they don't appear yellow. Combined with XTREME CLEAN UV420's green anti-reflective coating, these lenses look naturally clear indoors and outdoors and feel comfortable for your eyes.

We also offer lenses with blue anti-reflective reflections combined with UV420 filter—ideal for indoor work.

Progressive lenses

After your forties, the eye gradually loses the ability to focus up close, signaling the need for reading glasses—or progressive lenses that let you use one pair. The upper part of the lens is for distance, the middle for computer or dashboard viewing, and the lower for reading, with smooth transitions invisible from the outside. At IMOOPTIK, we offer three lines of XiRON Optics progressive lenses. All are free-form, digitally ground point by point, differing in customization level, field of view width, and price. We determine the best option for you during an eye exam—considering your prescription, frame, and daily activities.

Our progressive lens options

ELITE B.I.D.N

premium · Camber + IOT technology

The top-tier progressive lenses. They combine two optimized surfaces: the front uses a Camber semi-finished lens with a variable curve, while the back is designed using IOT Digital Ray-Path 2 technology with Steady Plus methodology. The calculation includes individual parameters—pupil distance, lens-to-eye distance, frame tilt and curvature, and your typical reading distance. Each lens is made precisely for you and your glasses.

  • widest fields of vision for distance and near, with an easily found reading zone

  • minimal peripheral distortion and reduced image "swimming" during head movement

  • fast adaptation—even when switching from older progressive lenses

  • flatter and thinner lenses, aesthetically pleasing even with higher prescriptions

  • recommended for demanding wearers, drivers, and medium to high prescriptions and additions

COMFORT

personalized free-form

A balanced choice for everyday wear. Free-form IOT design with binocular balance (both lenses coordinated for equal quality vision in each eye), reduced image ripple, and smooth transitions between zones. Lenses can be individualized based on frame position on your face to sharpen vision and shorten adaptation.

  • wide fields of view without distracting distortions

  • stable image when walking or looking sideways

  • suitable for medium to high prescriptions and additions

  • excellent value for quality and price

PRO

affordable introduction to progressive lenses

Digitally ground free-form lenses with variable inset—the near zone is positioned according to your pupil and reading distances rather than averages. Reliable vision at a reasonable price.

  • ideal for first-time progressive lens users and occasional wearers

  • for lower prescriptions and additions

  • balanced fields of view with basic reduction of image ripple

  • easy upgrade to COMFORT or ELITE if you adapt and want more later

Camber technology

why ELITE B.I.D.N lenses stand out

Standard progressive lenses are made from semi-finished blanks with a single front curve, which cannot be ideal for both distance (requiring flatter curvature) and near (requiring steeper curvature). Camber semi-finished lenses have a front surface with curvature gradually increasing from top to bottom—giving each zone its ideal curve. In a double-blind study, wearers compared the same design with and without Camber: with Camber, the near zone was easier to access, near vision quality was equal or better, and adaptation was simpler.
